For a musical theatre major, you'd probably be best to look at a conservatory, especially if you're really good. To do the Broadway type stuff, though, you have to be extensively trained in dance, theatre, and voice. A lot of actors with degrees went to school as a music/theatre major, and many of them studied at places like the Royal Ballet and other major companies. But yes, a conservatory would be your best bet for a stepping off point.Whats the difference between liberal arts college %26amp; a conservatory; which is better for musical theater focus?
You might have to audition for all three aspects... I'm not totally sure, as I'm strictly a music major. Obviously the best is going to be Julliard, but that is sooooo competitive. I like the looks of Oberlin, in Ohio, though.
