Why can't the liberal American electorate understand that corporate tax hikes will just be passed on to them?

Whenever my costs for doing business or corporate taxes increase, I just pass them on to the consumer. Then they not only get to pay their own income taxes, but also my corporate taxes that their elected representatives have passed on to me. If you want to be at least double taxed, then by all means vote for your boy Obama. If not then I would suggest casting your vote for McCain. All businesses that are successful operate like I do by the way.Why can't the liberal American electorate understand that corporate tax hikes will just be passed on to them?
Because they dont understand the basics of economics and the fact that its all inter connected. You cant affect one with out affecting the other. The consumer and the business are interdependant. This is something the democrats dont seem to understand. Its sad really. Why can't the liberal American electorate understand that corporate tax hikes will just be passed on to them?
Products that we purchase have already increased considerably. A majority of the increases right now are due to gas and energy costs. If you look at it in this view : If gas prices can start to decrease then some business operating costs may also decrease. Another issue as to why prices have increased is because of the growing popluarity of ethanol and the fact that there was 8% less corn planted in the us this year and corn is even used in some diapers and batteries. There are countless consumer products that use corn. We need an administration that will help the business keep its gas and energy costs down. One who will look into alternative solutions to energy. That is not happeing in this administration. McCain doesnt have a good plan set forward for this either so I think that we need to go with the canidate who is planning to help our energy crisis.
After 8 years of ';trickle down economics'; and record breaking profits by corporations, I'm not buying it. Bush cut taxes for corporations and gives them a tax credit for outsourcing, yet unemployment and the cost of goods is at an all time high. I'm ready to try the other way.
They are incapable of taking their reasoning one step deeper. They assume that taxation doesn't affect behavior. That the companies or the taxpayers won't adapt to the new condidtions.
They're either too guided by feelings instead of logic or they know and just want to try to sneak socialistic tax increases in on those who don't understand macroeconomics.
Math, logic, looking beyond good intentions to actual results; these are not areas where liberals do well.





If they did, they wouldn't be liberals.

Tell you what, why not make the poor pay all the taxes there are then they can buy everything really cheap!
Because liberals are idealists and idealists don't think they feel. They live in a fantasy world which doesn't obey the laws of reality.
Good luck. I've tried that in the past. They won't listen. Corporations only serve as the middleman in the taxation process.
