It's not simply lack of tort reform. Enact tort reform and there will be another Republican obstacle.





The insurance companies and health care providers make a wonderful living with the status quo, high premiums and ';preexisting condition';.





Republicans tend to be philosophically market driven when it somes to health care reform. If you like the current system, millions uninsured and many more under insured then oppose health care reform.





Over the last ten years inflation has risen by about 25-30% while premiums have risen in many states 100-150%, how long do you think we can sustain that with our economy?





Republican proposals will not change the equation and will not lower costs while increasing coverage. Insurance companies not only endorse but have written the Republican proposals, what does that tell you.

To answer your question Cletus, the Repubes are obstructionists and nothing any Dem has to say or back will satisfy these criminals unless it's their idea all together. The Repubes had 13 years to make things right but all they did was take take take until the economy tanked, knowing deregulation was only helping the top 1% GET RICH QUICK off of our hard work.
