You are not delusional. I am observing the exact same thing. It is scary the power the media has.Is the liberal media influencing the outcome of this presidential election?
um, the asker changed his name and avatar, he's really a middle aged man with wiskers!
This is creepy...

Both the conservative and liberal media support their candidates. The kicker is that I thought that the media is supposed to be impartial.
I started out listening to conservative programming, wanting to know what they were thinking and saying. They feed their listeners/viewers racist information that's unbelievable. It's no wonder there's so much hatred out there.
At the same time, they're saying constantly that it's not racist and not biased, it's just the truth. Hannity and Limbaugh, for instance, are racist nut cases. Everything is because he, she or they ';want to take your freedom';, code words for black. Listen to them for a few days, there's so much code in their language, it's incredible.
Until the last year or two, there was no Liberal media. Though I still listen to conservative media, I'm glad the Liberals are out there now, listening to that crap all the time is depressing.
The theory is that the media sets which news is most important.
People watch the news with preconceived notions and beliefs. They watch news to support their own beliefs, they don't watch it to be swayed.
That being said, The liberal media has not stopped the last two elections to be republican.
Also, the media puts out what is interesting. Obama is an interesting story. McCain is not. However, Palin is, and the recent (deplorable) attacks on Obama have been on the news lately.
So, really, I don't think the news does a lot of influencing.
Absolutely the media is for Obama. They have never recovered from the 2000 election and they are determined that they will report only positive things about Obama. It is a shame that the media has stooped so low as to forget their duty is to report everything about the candidates, both positive and negative. Obama is their man and they will do everything to see to it that he wins. And, they are succeeding in this election, it seems. There are many unanswered questions about Obama but the media is keeping all those questions and facts under wraps. and, it seems the majority of people are buying into their bias. This is the worst election in history, not because Obama is black, but, because the media has never gotten over losing the 2000 election. Heaven help us all.
I watch CNN almost exclusively, and today they showed McCain and Palin giving speeches as well as Obama. They showed McCain telling the woman that Obama wasn't an Arab. Whenever they have a panel they always have each party equally represented by bright, interesting people. I don't think they could be more fair.
I watched FOX for an hour tonight. The Republican advisers looked like old vultures or undertakers. They presented Obama's economical plan as small change. Now I know where all the vehement hate that some of you Republicans spew comes from. You all need to stop watching that one-sided stuff. You're not doing yourself or your country any favor. Switch to CNN for a couple of weeks. Even if they don't change your mind on whom to vote for, they will make you feel better about things when Obama is elected. Really, I urge you.
The only station that even approaches ';liberal'; in this particular election cycle is MSNBC and they are doing a half-assed job at it...
How could any station that recieves all of its advertising $ from Big Oil, pharmaceutical companies and Insurance providers have a liberal bias?
Impossible....
The media is capitalist which currently lines up better with Republicans on Wall Street than anyone else...
Yes. It has become Obama as the pipe piper and the big three networks falling all over themselves to say and do what ever he says. Sean Hannity told us about Rev. Wright a year and a half ago. Along with Bill Ayers and the rest. Main stream media is just now picking up on it. Obama was raised and educated in areas where hatred of America is the norm. Even in Hawaii, the ';native'; Hawaiian have three different groups clamoring for independence. or at least what the first nations have here on the mainland and Alaska. As a haole,I did not go to school on the last day of the year. It was kill haole day. The schooling he received in the lower 48 has been in elitist schools. He joined ACORN out of college and still contributes to them. He gave over $80,000 this year to ACORN from his campaign funds.. Several members of ACORN have been jailed for voter fraud. They are under investigation in 8 states for voter fraud as I write. None of this will be seen on the 6 O'Clock news. This is the worst coverage of a presidential race I have ever seen. The first time I voted for a president was in 1968. I watch the 1960/64 races and I can tell you the present day Democratic party is NOT the the party of FDR,JFK, LBJ. It happened in 1968 and has never recovered. It has become full of socialist and elitist who no longer represent the people, only themselves and their the big campaign contributers.. I am ashamed of them.
No, not at all; the opposite is true.
Fox Noise, the nonsense radio talk shows, the preposterous Scarborough and the coast to coast right wing newspapers are all in the tank for McCain. Scarborough uses his position as host of Morning Joe to go on anti-Obama rants.
Even the idiots that control the YA spell check are doing everything they can to associate Obama with Osama. Pathetic, juvenile behavior, that.
Obama is winning because McCain is bankrupt, morally, fiscally and with respect to ideas.
Obama 2008
no you are correct, the media is always going to make the democrat candidate better and try to attack the republican. I hope that most americans are not ignorant enough to listen to the media but i fear that especially the young voters are easily swayed by the abominable propoganda by the Democrats
I am influencing the outcome of this presidential election. I tell people how to vote and the vote how I tell them to.. I've told about 52% of the United States to Vote for Obama, and they doing it because I told them to. they would elect a ham sandwich if I told them to.
The ';Liberal media'; has no control over inflation, recession, a record setting budget deficit, or war.
Those issues are what will influence the voters decisions.
Therefore, the answer to your question would be...you are delusional.
';Seems to me'; the media is just reporting what all candidates are doing %26amp; saying and the ';pollsters'; take polls and the media reports it.
Does that make them ';liberal'; or just honest reporting?
And my answer... you ARE delusional
Actually your assessment is right on but the only problem is that in 2000 and 2004 it backfired when all of their polls showed GWB behind and the democrats stayed home because they thought it was in the bag. Wanna bet it happens again?
I agree with you, but I think that it is partly McCains fault that he hasn't had coverage, he is not a good speaker...Obama is...McCain is in the same party as Bush...Obamas not...Obama has had good things to cover (like going across seas)...McCain hasn't. But whatever.
I don't agree with you, so don't blame the media for your candidates lack of running a good campaign an picking a poor choice of a creditable VP.
I've been noticing how the McCain/Palin Republican campaign has influenced the media... You know, McCain's erratic nature and all. Sorry dude, but even the most unbiased News/media can't ignore issues that concern people...
You are delusional and not a very loyal Fixed News fan.
With Faux News: all things are possible.
Including rewriting history. They love doing that.
There is another possibility. If they say 0'Bama has the election sewn up too often, it might push angry independents over to McCain and maybe some 0'Bama supporters won't feel the need to go and vote.
I think thats a bit off.. Personally I believe it will encourage voters who don't believe the media propaganda to get out and vote for their candidate because their vote is actually needed.
Who cares? Maybe if McCain supporters weren't so influenced by what other people tell them and actually thought for themselves for once, it wouldn't matter what the media thought.
Really? Is that why Sen Clinton was considered ';inevitable'; until Obama won in Iowa? Your theory sounds more like an excuse.
It's the stupid comments coming out of the McCain Palin rallies and debates that are influencing the outcome of this campaign
Yes, the liberal media and the entertainment industry controls the weak minds of most Americans.
Reality has a liberal bias.
If it were not for the media Obama would be further ahead.
No. Neither is the right-wing media.
Delusional
They try to in every election. But this year they just might succeed.
Don't worry man the in last two elections the media pro jected Gore and Kerry the winner and they both lost even with their great influence. McCain will win this election.
and if the Media was fair McCain would win in a landslide election just like Reagan.
YES!

Hype and wannabes are. They'll all say ';Oh, I didn't know that when I voted'; someday and I'll be first in line to open hand one of them.
