What is with the liberal double standard of questioning the government?

A liberal questioning the government it is deemed patriotic, but when a conservative questions the government it is deemed unpatriotic and even possibly treason? What is with the liberal double standard of questioning the government?
I think it is because we conservatives ask better questions and actually have facts to support us.What is with the liberal double standard of questioning the government?
Them question is correct. There is an extreme double standard regarding Democrat vs. Republicans as well as Liberal vs. Conservative. It is especially bad when it comes to reporting this by the mainstream media.

For example: Republicans are being criticized for being against the Health Care Plan before Congress. The media is calling this everything from unpatriotic to refusing to give Obama a chance for whatever reason. Yet in 2003 during the debate over going to war in Iraq, Hillary Clinton asked why should Democrats be accused of being unpatriotic for disagreeing with the President, (George Bush)? She also stated it was the right of the American Peoples to stand up when they disagreed with the President. Why is it right for Democrats to stand up against George Bush. but wrong for Republicans to stand up against Barack Obama?

Secondly: I was reminded of this during a report about Joe Wilson shouting Obama was lying. We have all heard about how wrong he was, and how he apologized, and on and on. But how many remember that Senator Harry Reid (D), the Senate Majority leader twice called President Bush a liar on national television? He was never criticized by the media, and to this day has never apologized. (The reminder came during a report aired on CNN.)

The double standard is very real, but only Conservatives see it, because we are the victims. The guilty party never sees its own faults, and shortcomings.

By the way, many of the very liberals who opposed Iraq, support Afghanistan. The liberals who complained that the budget deficit under President Bush was going to bring us down, have now doubled the deficit since Obama became President, and support his plans to increase it even more.

Democrats complained that during the Bush years, we had the worst economy in 50 years, when we had 54 months of continued job growth, (until the Democrats took over Congress in January 2007). The mainstream media took great delight in repeating this. Since Obama was sworn in, Unemployment has jumped from 6.8% to 9.7% in August, over 3 million jobs have been lost, Chrysler and GM declared Bankrupcty, the Stock Market has had losses not seen since the Great Depression, and we truly do have the worst economy in 50 years, closer to 65 years. Yet the media tells us things are going to get better tomoorow, or mayber even later today. The ';doom and gloom'; reporting during the Bush years, is not there, even though there is more ';doom and gloom'; now. And Obama and liberal Democrats are causing it!
It goes both ways:

Republicans accused Democrats of treason and anti-patriotism when they protested when Bush was president. Now, all of a sudden it's OK and patriotic to do just that?

Civil debate and disagreement on the issues is good for our country. Lying about the issues with angry fearmongering and comparing your opponents to an evil regime, simply because you disagree with them is not good for our country.
No

It's the other way around.

Where were all these people who are worried about the deficit, spending, etc., over the past eight years? Where were they when we had two wars, and those great tax breaks for the wealthy?

Anyone else find it extremely funny that these are the same people who said it was unpatriotic to defame the president for 8 years and were all for the trillions spent on wars yet now its patriotic to dissent and that money spent on Americans is bad?
Hey October, where have you been for the last 20 or so years? Bush bashing was very popular back 8 yrs. ago by the Democrats/Liberals. Even the main stream media was behind them.

Now the Republicans/Conservatives or anyone other than the Democrats/Liberals question the government, the main stream media doesn't even report it or if they do we are called every name under the sun that is demeaning.

To answer the question: They do it because they can get away with it.
What is with the liberal double standard of questioning the government?

A liberal questioning the government it is deemed patriotic, but when a conservative questions the government it is deemed unpatriotic and even possibly treason?

Because it liberals who control the government as of right now
You've got it backwards.

Conservatives called everyone who spoke TRUTH about things Bush actually did and said ';terrorists who hate America'; and liberals call everyone who lies about Obama liars.

It's the right who are being hypocrites. When Bush was president, they said no one should speak out against him, however wrong he was. Now they see nothing unpatriotic about lying about the current president, and even calling for his murder.
It's funny how it's Republican administrations who keep having members sent to jail for criminal behavior.

Nixon resigned, Reagan ran the most criminal administration in history, and Bush left office with the lowest approval ratings ever.

Perhaps it's because Republicans have lost all moral and ethical authority and are willing to be as scurrilous at they can get away with being.
From what I can tell the morons that worship both political parties suffer from what's called ';authoritarian personality disorder'; and get their panties in a bunch whenever someone questions their temporary king... bunch of boot licking punks is all you dims and repukes are.... sad sad excuses for americans...
Questioning the government is good but calling to overthrow the government is unpatriotic. Calls for a civil war is Un-American.
When liberals questioned the government about Iraq. Conservatives called them unpatriotic. Clearly you're not paying very close attention.
Because our rationales are rational and non emotion driven....it's harder to dispute hard facts....writings, books, videos, pictures, accounts than ';It's bad to do X!';
liberals can't stand conservatives acting like them......lol.....demonstration is a right...liberals think it is just for them.........elitists...all of them
Socialism, is finding it's way in through Liberalism.
That's a great question. I'll go back to six years ago and ask you.
Where did that come from?
